'Whitby'
Looking down from the East Cliff where stands the ruins of St. Hilda's Abbey, upon the town of Whitby, you can see it's
narrow streets and alleyways that lead down to the quayside.
From the parish church of St. Mary, you can walk down the 199 steps to the town below.
Dracula was written by the author Bram Stoker who was inspired to write the book, by St. Mary's churchyard which is on
the Whitby's East Cliff.
